Precious Ruthie is waking up to celebrate her 2nd Birthday and her mama is a little sad. Wish I could have been there.

How precious! Our Joel celebrated his 3rd birthday in Thailand on 9.4.09...we traveled for him on 9.15.09. For two months leading up to it I was anxious and if I'm confessing, a little bitter that it looked as if we would come down to the wire in getting to be with him on his actual birthday.
Through a swirl of awful and wonderful events, we missed it. And it did hurt, but we could see God's hand so clearly that when the day actually came, and we were so close to traveling, I really felt peace and was able to rejoice in the day of his birth.
I enjoy your blog so much and will be watching and praying as you leave in a few days! :)
